

Jeanette was born July 13, 1929 in Pleasant View, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Alpha Allen Farrar. She married Oliver Keith Snyder on June 12, 1948 in Beardstown.
Jeanette was a graduate of Rushville High School and was a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bridge, cooking, baking bread, church activities, rooting for the Cubs, and most of all spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Floyd Farrar; and two sisters, Margaret Schlueter and Marjorie Ballou.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Snyder of Springfield; five children, Barbara Glosser, Kathy (husband, Tom) Gallagher, Susan (husband, David) Lazarides, Steve (wife, Linda) Snyder, and John (wife, Laurie) Snyder, all of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Erin, Rory, Megan, Greg, Christie, Andy, Louie, Jeremy, and Amelia; step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; step-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Dorothy Hoover and Earl Eugene (wife, Betty) Farrar, both of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanette's wish was to donate her body for science, prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will host a memorial gathering on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial ceremony at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2477 W. Washington St., Springfield, with Rev. Greg Busboom, officiating.
