Jeanie Cleeton

Jeanie Cleeton, 45, of Springfield, died at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center. Jeanie was born on October 2, 1960 in Frankfort, Germany, the daughter of Robert E. and Vera B. Black Jackson, Sr. She married Tim Cleeton on October 2, 1981 in Riverton, IL. She was a graduate of Riverton High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College. She was a homemaker and a member of Neighbors To Nations Community Church in Lincoln, IL. Jeanie was a compassionate lady, who will be remembered for her sense of humor and her ability to always be a “trooper”. She was preceded in death by her stepfather: Jack Stanley. She is survived by her husband: Tim Cleeton of Springfield; her mother: Vera B. Stanley of Springfield; her father: Robert E. (wife, Clara) Jackson, Sr. of St. Petersburg, FL; one son: Brent Cleeton of Springfield; one daughter: Lacy Jo Cleeton of Springfield; two brothers: Robert (wife, Kelli) Jackson, Jr. of Lincoln and Lance Stanley of Springfield; five sisters: Misty (husband, Steve) Bee of Springfield, Amy (husband, Rick) Yarrington of St. Petersburg, FL, Jennifer (husband, Carlos) Velez of St. Petersburg, FL, Christina Jackson of St. Petersburg, FL and Theresa (husband, David) Gibson of Billings, MT and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Schuff. Cremation will be accorded, following the funeral service, by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
