Jeremiah Danny Smith

Jeremiah Danny Smith, 32, of Springfield, passed away at 12:18 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Jeremiah was born on June 10, 1984, the son of Danny Smith and Mary Gebhardt. Jeremiah graduated from Riverton High School, class of 2002. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was currently employed by TeeJet Technologies. Jeremiah was an avid Chicago Bears fan who loved traveling, playing soccer and basketball, and spending time with his boys and his dog, Ryker. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley May Smith Grant; grandfather, Willard Smith; aunt, Sharon Meyer; and cousin, Josh Meyer. He is survived by his mother, Mary Gebhardt of Riverton; father, Danny Smith (Lori Kramer) of Rochester; sons, Austin and Izic Smith of Riverton; brother, Jaime Smith of Springfield; grandparents, Robert and Rheta Gebhardt of Riverton; grandfather, Robert Grant of Sherman; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield until the time of the ceremony at 12:00 p.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
