She was born in Canton, IL, on December 7, 1939, the daughter of John Joseph and Frances Lucille Champlin Nayden.
Joan was very loving, giving, and generous with her time. She attended Canton High School. Joan later worked for and retired from the State of Illinois with the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs. She also volunteered her time at St. John’s gift shop and was very active in Caregivers and Samaritans. Joan enjoyed to travel, dine out with friends, garden, read, and bake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances.
Joan is survived by her son, Stuart (Julia) Putrich of Shelby Township, MI, and Steve Putrich of Springfield; grandchildren, Sydney Putrich of Royal Oak, MI, Austin (Allison) Putrich of Holland, MI, and Connor Putrich of Allendale, MI; brother, John Nayden of Frankfort, IL; and great-granddaughter, Zoey Putrich.
Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Father Daniel Bergbower officiating.
