

Joann Matilda Davis (Pfaff), 79, of Springfield, surrounded with love from her husband, family and all her babies (kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren), peacefully passed away after her brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Joann, one of five children, was born in Ste Genevieve, MO on December 17, 1938 to Joseph and Mary Pfaff. Her parents and sisters Tootie (Richard) Roth and Duella (Arthur) Grass and her brother Louis (Millie) Pfaff and three angel babies all preceded her in death. Joann and her surviving sister, Jeanie (Dale) Oster, remained very close, although separated by many miles.
Joann was married to Daniel K. Davis of Pawnee and they celebrated their lives with their children, Cindy (Rob) Bartlett, Sherry (Joe) Walker, Wade Grieshaber, Jim (Adriel) Grieshaber, Nikki (Scott) Norris and Dan (Arlene) Davis; 13 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren, all surviving her at death. Also surviving her in death are many in-laws, nieces, nephews and three dog babies.
Joanns heart was filled with love for her family and doggies, and she never missed an opportunity to be there for her loved ones. Joann had unwavering faith in God and had a way to make everyone she encountered feel loved. A few of her favorite activities included rocking her grandbabies and great grandbabies, cooking for her family and friends, and playing cards.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
