John Kenneth Maberry

John was born on March 13, 1960, the son of John R. and Violet May (Roland) Maberry. He graduated from Springfield Southeast High School.

John had a passion for auto racing. He began his career with cart racing and then went on to Sprint Cars. His father was his biggest fan and crew chief for many years. John had a successful career and earned the hardware as reward for it. John’s expertise and love of cars also provided a career in automotive mechanics working with several shops over the years.

In addition to racing, he also enjoyed fishing, golf, and hunting. Later in life, he found immense joy in family and friends.

John also experienced a few sad times being preceded in death by his father, and later his son Andrew.

Surviving is his daughter, Sheila (husband Jacob “Jake”) Bellm, his two granddaughters: Ivy Bellm and Summer Maberry, his mother, Violet, sister Kari McRae, and a host of friends and fans in the racing family.

Cremation Rites will be accorded. A celebration of life and inurnment will be held later.
