John J. Venvertloh

John was born February 27, 1959 in Springfield, the son of Carl and Elsie Pavletich Venvertloh.

He married Kendra R. Zihlman on August 16, 1997 at Cherry Hills Baptist Church.

John was a graduate of Griffin High School, Lincoln Land Community College and University of Illinois at Springfield. John was a member of Toronto Road Baptist Church, and volunteered at the Computer Banc. His hobbies included computers, writing and performing music, model railroading, woodworking, and photography.

John received numerous professional certifications, including CompTIA Project +, Master Certified Netware Engineer (MCNE), Certified Netware Administrator (C N A), Certified Data Processor (CDP), and Certified Computer Programmer (CCP).

John began his career in computer consulting working from 1982 – 1984 as Service Manager for microPower Computer Systems, 1984 –1985 as Microcomputer Specialist for Illinois Educational Consortium, 1985 - 1987 as Field Software Specialist for Horace Mann Life Insurance Co, 1987 – 1988 as Programmer Analyst 3 for the Illinois Department of Public Aid, 1988 – 1989 as Computer System Software Specialist 1 for the Illinois Department of Public Aid, 1989 – 1994 as Senior Coordinator of Accounting Systems for Franklin Life Insurance Company, 1994 – 1995 as a Systems Consultant for SEA Group, Inc., 1995 – 1996 as Technical Consultant for Dynitech Systems, Inc., 1996 – 1998 as Senior Network Analyst for Sentinel Technologies, Inc. in Downers Grove, 1998 – 2002 as Technical Consultant for Ciber, Inc., 2002 – 2003 President, Chief Technical Officer and Engineer, Chief Technical Officer for Infinite Technologies, Inc. and was currently employed as a Computer Network Consultant for Capitol Strategies, Inc.

He is survived by his wife: Kendra Venvertloh of Springfield, parents: Mr. & Mrs. Carl (Elsie) Venvertloh of Springfield, three sisters: Mary (husband, Thomas) Maurer, Carolyn Ann Venvertloh and Nancy (husband, Peter) Meeker all of Springfield; two brothers: William (wife, Laura) Venvertloh of Springfield and David (wife, Susan) Venvertloh of Northfield; several aunts and uncles and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Additional Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2005 at Cherry Hills Baptist Church, 1220 Outer Park Dr. Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2005 at Cherry Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Whitehouse officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
