Josephine Frank

Josephine Frank, 84, formerly of New Berlin, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at St. Joseph's Home of Springfield, Illinois. She was born August 19, 1924 in Bloomington, the daughter of Eugene and Ellen Murphy. She married Ralph "Curly" Frank in 1956. He preceded her in death. Josephine was a graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in teaching. She taught at New Berlin High School for many years, retiring in 1993. She was a past member of St. Mary's Altar Society, St. Mary's Church board, New Berlin Women's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and past Sangamon County Fair co-director for Horticulture. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers. Josephine is survived by her four children, Charles (wife, Charlotte) Frank of Lanark, Michael (wife, Karen) Frank, Dennis (wife, Charlene) Frank, and Denise Frank, all of Springfield; her brother, Robert Murphy of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008 at McCullough-Delaney and Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at St. Mary's, 404 W. Birch St., New Berlin.
