Joshua James Baker, 34, of Springfield died on September 15, 2012 in Mountain View, CA. Joshua was born on August 15, 1978 in Springfield, the son of Gary Lee and Cara Lea Couch Baker. He married Jenna Lynn Spradlin on July 18, 2007 in Springfield. Joshua was a graduate of Springfield High School and worked as a security guard. He enjoyed working on computers, cooking, and riding his motorcycle. He was also an avid reader of science fiction and loved animals. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Baker and an uncle, Billy Lowe. He is survived by his wife, Jenna Baker of Springfield; three sons, Ethan (fianc, Kerrie) Rainey of Palmyra and Nick (girlfriend, Jenny) Rainey and Duston Rainey, both of Springfield; one grandchild, Colton Jackson; mother, Cara (partner, Kathy Haines) Baker of Springfield; father, Gary Baker of Springfield; and his grandparents. Cremation was accorded prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: The family is hosting a memorial ceremony at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Unity Church, 417 E. Cordelia St., Springfield with Karen Kelly officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Josh Baker Memorial Fund at any Bank of Springfield location.
