

Judith “Judy” Butler, 67, of Springfield, died at 8:20 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center. Judy was born March 25, 1937 in Chicago, the daughter of Sidney and Pearl Berman Siegan. She married James Ross Butler, March 24, 1970 in Owaneco, IL. Mrs. Butler was employed by the Senior Center of Sangamon County as an Information and Assistance Specialist; she retired in 1998 after 10 years of service. She had also been an office manager for Dr. James Furrie and Dr. Staubly. She was a member of Temple B’rith Sholom, Hadassah Sisterhood, Temple B’rith Sholom Sisterhood, and Board of Caregivers-Third Age Living. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Betty Siegan. She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Ross Butler of Springfield; daughter, Pamela Susan Butler of Springfield; grandchildren: Heather Lynne (husband, Derrik) Ross of Anchorage, AL and Kaitlin Ann Nelson of Des Moines, IA and son-in-law, Mark Eugene (wife, Judy) Nelson of Des Moines, IA. Family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rabbi Michael Datz and Rabbi Barry Marks. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple B’rith Sholom and Hadassah, 1004 S. 4th St. Springfield, IL 62703. The family of Judith P.
