Kathryn was born February 4, 1924, in Fithian, IL, the daughter of Mossie Lee and Mary Susan (Button) Thomason. She married John Marlow Hayden in 1946; he preceded her in death on February 9, 1983.
Kathryn enjoyed spending time with her family, playing piano, knitting, and with her dogs.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Phillip Marlow Hayden; brothers, Jim, Paul, Chester, and Milford Thomason; and sisters, Leoma Kappes and Effie Stull.
Kathryn is survived by her son, Steve (Richard Lashbrook) Hayden of Springfield and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL.
Graveside Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington, IN with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
