

She was born at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield on October 18, 1961, the daughter of Charles and Bernitia (Clayton) Eickhoff. Kay married Mike Morrow at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Springfield on June 20, 1981.
Kay graduated from Hillsboro High School. She went on to work as a secretary for Roosevelt National Insurance, then served as a teacher’s aide for St. Aloysius, and finally worked as an office manager for GPM Property Management. Kay was an extraordinary baker and made the best cheesecakes and cookies. She was known as the “team mom” for her kids’ sports team and was also known for being a calming presence to those around her. Kay was a hard worker, had a generous heart and was devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles.
Kay is survived by her husband, Mike of Springfield; son, Brett Morrow of Springfield; daughter, Bailey (Jimmy) Gvazdinskas of Springfield; mother, Bernitia of Hillsboro; siblings, Glenn (Roxeanne) Eickhoff of Lexington, KY; Jo (John Ray) Warrenfeltz of GA; Nancy (Scott) Lowe of Hillsboro, Larry Eickhoff of Hillsboro, and Tony (Donna) Eickhoff of Hillsboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; beloved dog, Piper; and granddogs, Max, Louie, and Lola.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with prayer service at 4:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2000 E. Sangamon Ave., Springfield, with Rev. George Nellikunnel, S.A.C., celebrant.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tunnels to Towers, or Animal Protective League.
