Kendra S. Davis

Kendra was born February 3, 1963 in Springfield, the daughter of Jack and Marian Roderick. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman.

Kendra was a graduate of Lanphier High School and had worked for the city of Springfield for many years. Kendra loved being outdoors, which included camping, boating, gardening, or just soaking up the sun in her lounge chair. She also loved to travel and some of her happiest times were spent being by the ocean in Florida. Kendra was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her daughter Kelsey Boggs of Edwardsville, parents Jack and Marian Roderick, sister Kim(husband Jim) Forrest, niece Jana (companion Jim Harmony) Howard, great-niece Madison Howard and Kendra’s companion John Valencia, all of Springfield. Also special in her life were her two best friends, Patty Connolly and Janet Winkler whose love and support during this difficult time has been greatly appreciated.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen , Springfield. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 9 until time of the funeral service at 11 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman. Rev. Jim Stuenkel will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.

Memorials may be made to the Education Fund for Kendra's daughter Kelsey.
