Kevin Lee Danner Jr.

Kevin was born on July 20, 1973, in Omaha, NE, the son of Kevin, Sr. and Sandra (Ashcraft) Danner.

Kevin was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus #4175, where he especially enjoyed volunteering at events. He particularly loved selling beer and took great pride in his employment with Robert “Chick” Fritz, Inc. He had a passion for cooking, competing in Chilli Cookoffs, and loved bringing people together by preparing meals for family and friends. Kevin was also an avid Cubs, Bears, and Goose fan.

Kevin cherished time spent with his family and friends, whether relaxing by the pool or soaking up the sun. He had a warm, welcoming spirit—he loved people, and they naturally loved being around him. In his free time, he enjoyed music, attending concerts, and hanging out at Danner Manor with his dog, Baxter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Lee Danner, Sr.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Sandy; wife, Sherry; sister, Kaylee (Doug) Gholson; niece, Kasandra Gholson; nephew, Kaden Gholson; mother-in-law, Janna Trigg; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

A Memorial Ceremony will be held at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62703, with Pastor Cindy Lash officiating, followed by a Memorial Gathering from 4:00-7:00 pm.
