Kevin K. Sanborn, 48, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at his home. Kevin was born on August 24, 1960 in Rockford, the son of Rodney L. Spring and Donna Sanborn. Kevin will be remembered for his strong and willful, but loving nature. He enjoyed heavy metal music and loved his dog, Hank. Preceding Kevin in death are his father and grandparents, Kenneth and Fern D. Sanborn. He is survived by his special friend and companion of 24 years, Larry Christensen of Decatur; his mother, Donna (husband, William P.) Anderson of Rockford; siblings, Troy T. (wife, Margaret) Heinzeroth of Chicago and Adam A. (wife, Kelly) Heinzeroth of Davis; as well as several cousins. Family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
