

Kimberly Sue Harmon, 44, of Springfield, died at 4:41 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2005 at her residence. Kimberly was born August 31, 1960 in Peoria, the daughter of Arthur Joseph Jr. and Pauline Elizabeth Swallows Harmon. She was a graduate of Canton Senior High School and Lincoln Land Community College. She was employed as a Methods and Procedures Advisor II for the Illinois Dept. of Human Services. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab at Prairie Heart Institute. She also was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1988. She was an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and an avid quilter. She was preceded in death by her mother: Pauline E. Bacon in 1965 and her father: Arthur J. Harmon, Jr. in 2005. She is survived by her two sisters: Paula (husband, Robert) Moellman of Scottsdale, AZ, Patsy Swanson of Bartonville; one brother: Michael Harmon of Canton, and several nieces and nephews. Cremation accorded by Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut, Springfield with Rev. Msgr. Kevin Vann celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3000 Kelly Lane, Springfield, IL 62707.
