

Kimberly Sue Pearce, 53, of Chatham, passed away at 4:44 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at her home. Kim was born on September 30, 1963 in Quincy, the daughter of Robert P. and Patricia A. Armel Norvell. After Roberts passing, Patricia later married Chuck Mahoney, Kimberlys step-father. She married Thomas Pearce on May 22, 2010 in Moweaqua. Kim graduated from Shelbyville High School, class of 1981. She later attended Lincoln Land Community College and went on to work for the State of Illinois, Department of Healthcare and Family Services for 20 years. She was a member of Church by the Waters Edge in Chatham. Kim enjoyed painting and interior decorating, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Chatham; mother, Pat of Springfield; daughter, Elizabeth A. Perkins, RN of Davenport, IA; step-children, April (Wrappy) Reynolds of Keene, NH, Olivia Pearce, Amanda (Eric) White, and Elizabeth (Matt) Payne, all of Franklin, TN; sister, Deborah Bennett of Springfield; brother, Brad (Tanya) Norvell of Gilbertsville, KY; five grandchildren, Keene Reynolds, Pearce White, Baylor White, Noah Payne, and Landen Payne; and three nephews, Dr. Blake Bennett, Austin and Garrett Norvell. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Brewer officiating.
