Larry R. Bolt

Larry was born on September 8, 1945, in Springfield, the son of Lawrence Reese and Mae Lila (Winesburg) Bolt. He married Elaine P. Sandidge on September 20, 1980, in Springfield.

Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the 1960s. He retired from the State of Illinois where he worked for the Lottery. Larry also worked at Guiffre Buick for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Charlotte Hinds.

Larry is survived by his wife, Elaine Bolt of Springfield; son, Larry R. Jr. (Angie) Bolt of Farmington, MO; grandchildren, Alexander (Taylor) Bolt and Ashley (Trever Lewis) Bolt, both of Poplar Bluff, MO; sisters, Jean (Joe) Mahoney of Chatham and Carol (Marc) Gibbs of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog, Aggie.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Military honors will be conducted.
