Larry L. Renfro

Larry was born on July 12, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Clarence and Helen (Glynn) Renfro. He married Nancy L. Moffitt on September 20, 1968, in Edwardsville.

Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1988 as a fire control technician. He then worked for the State of Illinois as a certified network analyst. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; infant twin sons; and sister, Jean Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Loami; son, Ryan (Kim) Renfro of New Berlin; daughter, Dianne Anderson of Loami; grandchildren, Anthony Loomer, Jessica (Joseph) Thompson, and Sawyer Renfro; great-grandchildren, Jaxton and Josephine Thompson; brother, Jerry Renfro; and sister JoAnn (Jeff) Oetken.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home – New Berlin, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited capacity.

Private burial will be held at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
