Larry lived life to the fullest and faced every challenge with strength and optimism. Even during his courageous battle with cancer, he refused to let it slow him down or dim his spirit. At 80 years old, Larry continued working at Circle K, where he truly enjoyed his morning conversations with customers who had become like family. His friendly smile, quick wit, and genuine kindness made him unforgettable to everyone who crossed his path.
Larry never went anywhere without running into someone he knew. He had a gift for making connections and brightening the day of those around him. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, Larry’s loyalty to his team never wavered—he proudly celebrated every win and kept the faith through every tough season.
He is survived by his loving family and countless friends who will miss him dearly. His daughter, Cathy (Rich) Antis; his companion of 42 years, Kathy Sundland; Stacie (Mike) Roscetti, who he loved like she was his own; and 5 grandchildren, Morgan, Maddie and Adam Antis and Danny and Ryan Roscetti.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Per Larry’s wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Protective League (APL), two causes close to his heart.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62703.
