Lisa Dawn Turasky

Lisa Dawn Turasky, 39, of Springfield, died at 8:56 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at her residence. Lisa was born May 26, 1973 in Springfield, the daughter of Anthony and Jeanne Turasky. Lisa was a graduate of Sacred Heart Griffin, class of 1991. She graduated from Lincoln Land Community College with a degree in physical therapy and worked at RehabCare in Springfield as a physical therapist. Lisa loved being with her children and family and loved listening to music. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Riley Turasky and Gabriel McConaha, both of Springfield; siblings, Anthony (wife, Rachel) Turasky of New Berlin, Lucas (wife, Leslie) Turasky, and Jillian (husband, Larry) Gates, all of Springfield; grandmother, Joan Sanner of Florida; the love of her life, Remy Jones of Springfield; several aunts and uncles; and one niece, three nephews and several cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow immediately at the Firefighters-Postal Club, 940 West Lake Shore Dr., Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lisa Turasky Memorial Fund for her children at any Marine Bank location.
