Liza D Sharp

She was born in Springfield February 6, 1954 the daughter of John B. and Elizabeth Ann “Sis” Dixon who have both preceded her in death. She married Melvin R. Sharp July 4, 1998.

Liza was a 1972 graduate of Glenwood High School and attended Illinois State University. She was an artist whose works included pencil drawings, paintings and poetry. She attended Christ Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; brothers, Lou Dixon (wife, Kim) and Tim Dixon (wife, Joy) both of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Laura Mitchelle (husband, Ryan) and Jane, Mark, John David and Brian Dixon and her two black cats Shadow and Monkey.

He family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel where friends may call Friday from 5 to 7:00 PM and where funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday Jan. 29,2011 with the Rev. Dr. Gregory Tournoux officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
