

She was born in Springfield, March 14, 1929 the daughter of Charles August and Nellie Marie Sturm Ladage. She was the last member of her family to pass away, being preceded in death by her parents and her eight siblings; brothers, Walter, Henry, Robert, Alfred, Irvin, and Charles and her sisters, Katherine Ladage and Harriet Diekhoff, as well as a nephew, John Ladage.
Lois was a graduate of Springfield High School and then went on to earn a master’s degree in Music from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, IL. She taught piano in the Chicago area for 60 years, retiring in 2012. She moved back to Springfield to the Seasons Retirement Center.
Lois was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church LCMS and a member of the Seekers Bible Class there.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews; Sharon Delong, Helen McCue, Vickie Ladage, Jacqueline Ruenzi, Robert Ladage, Darlene Evans, Kenneth, David, Tom and Richard Ladage, Kathy McConnell, Donald Ladage, Janet Theilen, Ronald Ladage, Nancy McDonald, Karen Schaller, Paul and Philip Diekhoff, Diana Frost, Pam Mendenhall, Cheryl Giacomini and Steve Ladage. Two sisters-in-law, Amelia Ladage of Taylorville, and Wanda Ladage of Chatham, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, from 9:00 am Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 until time of services there at 10:00 am Saturday. Rev. Joshua T. Traxel will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery
