

Lora G. Mangle, 95, of Sherman, died at 5:35 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at her residence. Lora was born on March 28, 1909 in Canton, IL, the daughter of John and Alma Pemberton Dosier. She married A. Jay Mangle on August 15, 1933 in Mason County; he preceded her in death. Lora graduated from the Illinois State Teachers College in Normal and taught for fifteen years at country schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by one son: Dr. James (wife, Joan) Mangle of Fort Collins, CO; one daughter: Gail D. Mangle of Sherman; three grandchildren: Katie (husband, Michael) Mangle-Kiser of Portland, OR, William (wife, Kim) Mangle of Denver, CO, Steven Mangle of San Francisco and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow in Mason City Cemetery.
