

Lorraine C. Blasko, 87, of Springfield, died at 1:05 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at St. John's Hospice. Lorraine was born October 12, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Francis Xavier and Albertine Rhinehardt Montreuil. She married John W. Blasko in 1946, he preceded her in death in 1994. Lorraine was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church where she was in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member and past-president of Knights of Columbus #4175 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Irene Bergtold and Beatrice McCarthy; and brother, Lawrence W. Montreuil. She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Blasko of Rochester and Diana Trader of Petersburg and Theresa Nash of Springfield; four sons, John, Michael and David Blasko all of Petersburg and Joseph Lee Blasko of Donnellson; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one sister, Pearl Casey of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m., March 31, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with prayers at 4:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., April 1, 2008 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield with Rev. Donald Meehling, celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John's Children's Hospital, 800 E. Carpenter, Springfield, IL 62769.
