

Lucille Fazi-Falzone, 93, of Springfield, died at 7:50 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2005 at St. John’s Hospice. Lucille was born on December 23, 1911 in Chicopee, KS the daughter of Richard and Catherine Cresto Fazi. She married Pat Falzone in 1934 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mrs. Fazi-Falzone was a 1930 graduate of Springfield High School and attended Northwestern University. She was employed by the State of Illinois, Secretary of State for 24 years. She was a ham radio operator with her husband and son, volunteered at St. John’s Hospital Gift Shop and the Illinois State Museum. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lee Fazi. She is survived by her husband: Pat of Springfield; one son: Richard P. “Rick” (wife, Mary Jo) Falzone of Glenarm; two grandchildren: Richard Lee Falzone of Springfield and Joyce Lynn Reime of Auburn, CA and two great grandchildren: Jessica Reime and Sean Conner both of California. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. The Land of Lincoln Barber Shop Chorus will sing at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1020 N. Milton, Springfield with Rev. Richard Chiola celebrant. Entombment will follow at Oak Ridge Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1020 N.
