Lucille Weathersby Moore

Lucille "Cille" Weathersby Moore, 85, of Springfield, died at 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Lucille was born September 1, 1926 in Centralia, the daughter of Eugene and Victoria Bridges Weathersby. She married Earl L. Moore on April 29, 1972; he preceded her in death in 1987. Lucille worked as a nanny for the Garvey family for over twenty years and then retired from Memorial Medical Center housekeeping in 1991 after 14 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed being with friends, bar-b-cuing, dancing and listening to music. She was also preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Earl Moore, Jr.; step-daughter, Mildred McCray; two brothers, Thomas and Leonard Weathersby; two sisters, Marquerite Wright and Ruth Garret; and one niece, Sandra Wesley. She is survived by two step-daughters; three great-nieces, one great-great niece; three great-nephews and three great-great nephews. Visitation: Family and friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga celebrant.
