

Margaret A. Bryant, 88, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 at St. John's Hospital. Margaret was born on April 6, 1920 in Springfield, the daughter of Louis D. Buck and Margaret O'Neill Buck Fileccia. She married Franklin Bryant on January 22, 1939 in Springfield. He preceded her in death. Margaret graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards, solving puzzles, and writing poetry. Also preceding Margaret in death are her parents; and siblings, Louis Buck, Thomas and Vincent Fileccia, and Mary Durham. She is survived by her children, Mary (husband, James) McNamara of Fort Worth, TX, Judy (husband, Michael) Murphy of Bluegrass, IA , John (wife, Carol) Bryant of Reston, VA, Linda (husband, Stephen) Maloney of Redding, CA, Kathy (husband, Greg) Bushnell of Sherman, and Rick (wife, Pamela) Bryant of Lake Villa; thirteen grandchildren, Padraic "Pat" and Michael McNamara, Nancy Fricke, Jim Rogers, Jamie Lemkau, Jeffrey and Jason Rogers, Eric and Daniel Bryant, Matthew and Colin Maloney, and Jessica and Kyle Bryant; fourteen great-grandchildren; in addition to several nieces and nephews. A memorial ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
