
Margaret Green Stahl, 83 of Glendale, AZ, formerly of Zeigler died at 7:30 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2006 at Summerland Manor in Glendale. Margaret was born in Herrin, IL on October 26, 1922 to Leonard and Grace Green. She married, Capt. Benjamin Abraham Stahl in February 1946 in Chicago. Benjamin preceded her in death in May 1950. Margaret grew up in Zeigler, IL and she graduated from Indiana University. She relocated to Phoenix, AZ in 1951. Margaret never remarried and retired in 1984 after working for almost 30 years in the Reference Section and Arizona Room of the Phoenix Public Library. Her greatest joy in life was in reading; she read 3 to 4 books a week until several years ago, when her eyesight began to diminish. Margaret loved attending plays, the Phoenix Symphony, and knew a great deal about the history of Arizona. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brother; Charles Roby Green. She is survived by her son; Jerry (wife Sharon) Stahl of Glendale, AZ; her daughter; Madelyn Stahl Bolt of Houston, TX; four grandchildren; Craig Marsino, Daniel Stahl, Michael Stahl and Sarah Stahl of Glendale, AZ. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 27, 2006 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Vaughn Beeman officiating.
