

She was born Oct. 16, 1913 in Loami, IL the daughter of Logan L. and Estella Nichols Lindsay. Preceding her in death were her parents, only brother, Clarence B. Lindsay, Sr. and a nephew, Rodney S. Lindsay.
She spent much of her early life in Chatham when her parents moved there from Loami in 1916. She was a retired employee of the First National Bank of Springfield. Previously she had worked at the John Bressmer Co. for 11 years, during the depression years. She was a lifelong and oldest member of Chatham United Methodist Church, taking an active part in Sunday school till moving to Springfield in 1958.
After Retiring she did volunteer work at Illinois Presbyterian Home for over 30 years. She was a member of Springfield Civic Garden Club where she helped to plant flowers in the downtown area for visitor and our own people to enjoy.
She is survived by two nephews, Clarence B. Lindsay (wife, Norene) of Washington Island, WI and Larry L. Lindsay (wife, Linda) of Winona, MN; five great nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Andrew, Katherine, Megan, and Matthew.
Service will be Saturday, Nov. 21 at Chatham United Methodist Church with visitation from 1:30 pm till the funeral service at 2:30pm. Rev. Sarah Isbell will officiate. Burial will follow in Chatham Cemetery.
