Maribelle M. Ames, 71, of Springfield, passed away Friday morning, August 29, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in Greenview, IL September 1, 1942 the daughter of Frederick P. and Mary L. (Buhl) DeVault Sr. She married George Koehne and they later divorced. She then married Jimmy Ames. They resided in California, and Snowflake Arizona. Together they had a working farm and enjoyed traveling and camping. They too later divorced.
Maribelle moved back to Springfield in 2005 to be back near her children. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was well know for her canning of fruits and vegetables. Her parents and a brother Frederick P. DeVault Jr. preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two sons; Eric Koehne of Georgetown, TX, and Charles "Chuck" (wife Laurie) Koehne of Springfield, her daughter; Georgeanne (husband Charles) Adelman of Springfield, her granddaughter; Mickey Bartnick of Florida, her brother Kenneth DeVault of Springfield as well as several nieces nephews and cousins.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home.
