Marilyn Jean Hill

She was born on Dec. 24, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Earl Edwards and Lila Cox. She married Russell Hill, Sr. on April 15, 1963 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1984. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hill is survived by her step-daughter, Brenda Hill of Springfield; 2 sons, Russell Hill, Jr. of Springfield and Gabriel (companion Jennifer) Hill of Loami, IL; a daughter Carol Hill of Springfield; a granddaughter Marilyn Jean Elizabeth Hill of Lovington, IL; a grandson Isaac Aaron Pylap of Springfield; several more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; a brother Dean Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Aaron Z. Hill, a step-daughter Sandy Hill, 2 brothers Dale W. Cox and Earl Edwards, and a sister Lila Holmes.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at 1 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Mark Gifford officiating. Burial will follow at Buckhart Cemetery, Buckhart, IL.
