

Marilyn J. Snider, 80, of Springfield, died at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Marilyn was born March 18, 1937 in Divernon, the daughter of LeRoy and Elizabeth Cuthbert Keiser. She married Floyd "Bill" Snider on November 22, 1986 in Springfield; he preceded her in death. Marilyn graduated from Divernon High School and was employed with the State of Illinois until her retirement. She was a member of Second Church of Christ in Danville. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Hott. She is survived by her children, Terry James of Lincoln and Dr. Connee (John) Sloman of Springfield; grandchildren, Ashlee Sloman, Jared (fiance, Sarina Mardesen) Sloman, Kalee James, Heather Snider, Amber (fianc, John Pierce) Snider, Megan (David) Rohrer, and Kira Snider; great-grandchildren; sister, Louise (Don) Myers of Springfield; and two nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 3000 Lenhart Rd., Springfield with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating.
