Marshall Selkirk

Marshall Selkirk, Jr., 64, of Springfield, died at 8:56 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital. Marshall was born March 20, 1943 in Alton, IL, the son of Marshall N. and Melba Redenbo Selkirk, Sr. He married Judy Ostendorf on July 1, 1967 in Edwardsville. Marshall was the Vice President of Tax at AMEDCO and was formerly the CFO for the George Kerasotes Corporation. He was a member of the Army National Guard Reserves. Marshall also belonged to the IL CPA Society, the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was preceded in death by his father: Marshall N. Selkirk, Sr.; and a daughter: Kerry Ann Selkirk in 1985. He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years: Judy Selkirk of Springfield; daughter: Katherine Selkirk of St. Charles; mother: Melba Selkirk of Alton; sister: Sharon (husband, Laverne) Bechtold of Alton; brother: Ron (wife, Marilyn) Selkirk of St. Joseph, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral ceremonies will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
