Martha Ann "Mickey" Faller

Mickey was born on October 13, 1935, in Assumption, IL to La Nilta Faye Finley and Kenneth Charles Finley. She graduated from Mattoon High School in 1952 and married Thomas Wayne "Tom" Faller on June 5, 1955. Through 63 years of marriage, Mickey and Tom shared a rare and unwavering love and commitment to each other.

Mickey and Tom raised two daughters, Jill (Joseph) Hardy and Lyn (John) Vaughn, and a son, Michael (Lynn) Faller, all of Springfield.

Mickey cherished her 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as Mimi. Mimi achieved legendary status in their eyes and they will forever remember her loving attention and generosity.

Mickey was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Thurn.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; her three children, Jill, Lyn and Michael; her beloved dog, Eloise; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A memorial ceremony will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
