Mary Janice Gandhi

Mary was born December 5, 1944, in Shawneetown, IL, the daughter of Francis and Madelyn Schoney Brugger.

Mary worked for the State of Illinois until her retirement. She was a member of St. Agnes and enjoyed going antiquing.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dennis E. Brugger.

She is survived by her son, Adrian Y. Gandhi of Springfield; daughter, Sia A. Gandhi of Pontiac; siblings, Larry (wife, Evelyn) Brugger of Equality, IL, Jim Brugger of Carrier Mills, IL, and Bob Brugger of Marissa, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Agnes Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield with Rev. Robert Jallas, celebrant.

Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in the Parkview South Columbarium.
