

Mary E. Huddleston, 73, of Springfield passed away at 2:00 a.m., Thursday, July 4, 2002 at St. John's Hospice. She was born February 15, 1929 the daughter of Edward B. and Agnes Walsh Roesch in New Berlin. She married Daniel L Huddleston in 1953; he preceeded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Huddleston worked in accounting departments at several businesses in Springfield, retiring from Walnut Ridge Nursing Home in 1997. She was a Samaritan at St. John's Hospital and RSVP at the Senior Center, a member of the Silver Steppers Dance Group from the Center. She also had bowled in two Senior bowling leagues. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Edward C. Roesch. She is survived by three daughters, Dolores (husband, Arthur, Jr.) Desrosiers of Coventry, CT., Donna (husband, Charles) Pryer of Springfield, Deborah (husband, Dale) Smith of Riverton; two sons: Daniel (wife, Kim) Huddleston Jr. of Springfield, Dick A. (wife, Kathy) Huddleston of Glenarm; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Audrey Roesch, of Springfield, Evelyn Convoy of Rochester; three brothers: Richard (wife, Dorothy) Roesch, of Springfield, Donald (wife, Shirley) Roesch of Loami, James (wife, Gloria) Roesch of Springfield and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 3-6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2002. Visitation will begin with a wake service at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2002 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Reverend Peter Harman celebrant. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John's Hospital, Hospice Program, 800 E.
