Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Jarvis

Kathy was born on April 10, 1943, in Springfield, the daughter of Michael J. and Helen F. (Riley) Hickey. She married Gary Jarvis on August 26, 1967, in Springfield.

Kathy graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1961 and attended Springfield College. She worked for the Secretary of State and retired in 2007. Kathy was very adventurous and loved traveling, photography, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; and several aunts and uncles.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Gary; daughters, Kimberly (Matthew) Fricke, and Kristine (Shane) Laurenzana; grandchildren, Grace Kathleen Fricke, and Jacob and Luke Laurenzana; and her beloved pet, Cocoa.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 524 E. Lawrence Ave., Springfield, with Very Rev. Brian Alford officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
