

Mary Elizabeth Paisley, 86, of Springfield died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Home. Mary was born October 12, 1917 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Felix and Elizabeth D’Angelo Salerno. She married H. Keith Paisley on April 21, 1941 in Kansas City, MO and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1988. Mary was a member of Church of the Little Flower, St. Theresa Guild and St. Joseph’s Home Coterie. She enjoyed playing piano, singing and was an avid bird watcher. She played bridge in several bridge clubs. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons: Donald Keith Paisley on March 13, 2000 and Richard “Rick” Paisley on September 16, 1997 and brother: Santo Salerno. She is survived by two sons: Fred Paisley of Urbana and Tom (wife, Karen) Paisley of Springfield, daughter: Dr. Elizabeth Paisley of Urbana, five grandchildren: Paul, Michelle, Erika, Jaclyn and Zachary Paisley, two great grandchildren: Josh Mitchell and Brooke Anderson, one brother: Dominic (wife, Vernice) Salerno of Raytown, MO and several nieces & nephews. Friends may call from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Church of the Little Flower with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola, celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
