She was born in Springfield May 30, 1949 the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Laffey Bonansinga. She married William D. Prillaman Dec. 5, 1975 and he preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by brothers Paul and Sam Bonansinga.
Mary Ann was a 1967 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and a graduate of Western Illinois University. She was a Special Education Teacher at Graham Elementary School. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Alexa (husband, Brian) Tharp of Chicago; a sister, Susie Bonansinga of Springfield and a brother, Tim (wife, Julie) Bonansinga of Quincy and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held Friday Feb. 6, 2009 from 4 to 7:00pm at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held 11:00am Saturday Feb. 7, 2009 in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
