Mary L. Weller, 76, of Springfield, passed away at 4:26 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Mary was born January 7, 1939 in Springfield, the daughter of William Nelson and Nellie E. Hickson Widner. She married Elbert L. Weller on June 22, 1956 in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Widner; and sister, Ann Sherman. She is survived by her eight children, Maryann (husband, Don) Floyd of Springfield, Donna K. (husband, Earl) Penhorwood of Lancaster, OH, Carolyn L. (husband, Tom) Curran of Springfield, Elbert L. (wife, Susan) Weller III of Athens, Steven L. (wife, Becky) Weller of Winter Haven, FL, Rick A. Weller, Susan E. Weller, and Gail L. (husband, Raymond Jr.) Fox, all of Springfield; twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two siblings, Donald (wife, Debbie) Widner and Marie (husband, Bob) Prior, both of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
