Michael Stephen Stratton

Michael Stephen Stratton, 55, of Springfield, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at his residence. Michael was born December 8, 1946 the son of Clarence E. and Reita E. Mauk Stratton in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Mr. Stratton was a resident of Springfield since 1980. He was a graduate of St. John’s Grade School and Sacred Heart High School in Yukon, OK., and attended the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Stratton was a counselor at the Triangle Center and a member the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an active volunteer for the S.A.R.A. Center. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one daughter: Bridget Stratton of Manhattan, IL.; three sisters: Judy (husband, Dennis) Kraemer of Harrisonville, MO., Patricia Stratton of Lexington, KY, and Rosie (husband,Ted ) Callahan of Salida, CO; one brother: John I. Stratton of Gunbarrel, TX; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2002. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 11-12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2002 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral Services will at 12:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Monday, December 2, 2002 with Bishop Jay Lohman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
