

Mitch D. Daniels, 53, of Buffalo, passed away on Monday, October 14, at St. John’s Hospital. Mitch was born on May 29, 1960, in Springfield, the son of Dewey and Joan (McCaffrey) Daniels. Mitch married Carla Brown on May 23, 1986, in Springfield. He earned a Bachelor’s of Economics from Sangamon State University. He went on to work for the State of Illinois Department of Employment Security as a Manager of Workforce Analysis & Dissemination. Mitch was an avid sports fan; he loved watching his children participate in different sports, and loved to cheer for the Cardinals, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks.
Surviving Mitch is his loving wife Carla Daniels, his 3 children: Nathan A. Zachary B. and Bethany C. Daniels, his brother Patrick (Sheri) Daniels, mother-in-law Lenora Brown, brothers and sisters-in-law: Cathleen Gilbertson, Rachael Brown, Quintin Brown, Marcia Brown, and Jamie Brown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, his father-in-law Dan Brown, and a brother-in-law Marlin Brown.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, October 17, from 4-8 pm at Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 E Allen St. Springfield, IL 62703.
A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Mary Jessup on Friday, October 18, at 11 am at Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church, 7862 Buffalo Hart Rd. Williamsville, IL 62693.
