Nancy J. Reid

Nancy J. Reid, 59, of Springfield, passed away at 7:16 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Nancy was born October 23, 1952 in Springfield, the daughter of Anthony and Bonnie Bowers Sicilian. She married Christopher W. Reid on April 25, 2002. Nancy attended Springfield High School. She worked for SPARC as a supervisor and was very devoted to her job, never missing a day of work. She was also employed by St. John's in their medical records department. She was best known for being humble, a good cook, and taking care of her family. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her granddaughter, and being in the swimming pool. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Chris Reid of Springfield; three sons, Earl Sidener of Springfield, Nick (companion, Tiffany Dougherty) Murray of Waverly, and Jordan Reece Murray of Springfield; granddaughter, Kierstyn Murray of Waverly; two brothers, Tony and Jimmy Sicilian; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:45 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Service: 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Luis Olmas officiating.
