

Nancy Sandhaas, 63, of Springfield, died at 6:17 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. Nancy was born November 29, 1941 in Colchester, IL, the daughter of Joseph Ralph and Ruth Maxine Borth McFadden. She married Jim Sandhaas on November 22, 1969 in Springfield. She received her teaching degree from Western Illinois University and was employed for thirty-one years as a 1st grade teacher for Springfield School District 186. She was an avid Santa Claus collector and enjoyed scrap booking and playing bridge with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Nancy is survived by her husband: Jim Sandhaas of Springfield; one son: Andrew Sandhaas of Springfield; one sister: Jill Carlson of Moline; two brothers: Joel (wife, Dwana) McFadden of Mt. Carroll, Jered (wife, Caroline) McFadden of St. Joseph and two nieces and one nephew. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. The Leland Grove Police Department will conduct a walk-thru at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Meehling officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2125 N. 21st. St. Springfield, IL 62702 or Memorial Medical Center, 800 N.
