Nina B. Patia

She was born April 1, 1923 in Fulton County, IL. Graduated from Astoria High School and Western Illinois University. She married Harry Patia on July 1, 1944; he preceded her in death on April 20, 1992. Her parents, brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. Daughter Linda Patia Spear (husband Norman) of Whitney Point, NY and son Larry Patia (wife Patricia) of Springfield. Grandchildren Kaitlyn Patia, Alex Patia, Amanda Hartley and Jennifer Smith. Great grand children Kyra, Nathan and Calvin Hartley; Lily and Reed Smith.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Long time member of the Friday prayer group at WPC, bridge and senior citizen groups and the Variety Club for over 50 years. Taught with her husband in Compton, IL and then was a home maker. Worked at local schools as a volunteer. Was a member of LR P.E.O., AAUW, League of Women Voters, YMCA, Eastern Star and school P.T.A’s.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 29 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
