Norris Gene Hendricks, 79, of Waverly, formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his residence with his wife by his side. He was born November 23, 1934, in Decatur to the late William and Guyneth Tinnea Hendricks. Norris will be greatly missed by his wife, Connie Hendricks of Waverly; daughter, Jenny Young of Indiana; son, Jeff (Bobbi) Hendricks, of Petersburg, IN; sister, Gay Snow of Taylorville, IL; step-daughters, Becky Baker, OK, Sarah Baker, of Chatham, IL, and Cassandra Lofland of New Berlin, IL; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason. Norris was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Hendricks worked at AC& R (Henry Technology) for 20 years until retirement in 2001. Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John�s Hospice, 800 E. Carpenter St., Springfield, IL 62702.
