

Orvetta is survived by several cousins.
Miss Robinson attended Western Illinois State Teachers College in Macomb and she taught at a country school in Teheran, Illinois from 1941 to 1943. She moved to Springfield and worked with Thomas Publishing Company for two years. Orvetta was hired by Thorne Deuel of the Illinois State Museum in December of 1945 and she served the museum as the librarian and editor for many of the museum’s publications. Her generous service to the community was apparent through her active involvement with Lincoln Memorial Garden and Nature Center, the Young Women’s Christian Association and the Margery Adams Wildlife Sanctuary.
Cremation rites were accorded and a private burial took place at Walkers Grove Cemetery in Easton. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Illinois State Museum, Lincoln Memorial Garden and Nature Center or to Margery Adams Wildlife Sanctuary and condolences may be left at www.bischandsonfuneralhome.com.
