

Pamela J. Martin, 60, of Springfield, died at 7:20 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Pamela was born August 9, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Peter B. and Doris T. Chapman Kelly. She married Warren Martin on June 26, 1993 in Auburn. Pamela graduated from Glenwood High School in 1974 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1977. She taught for eight years in Arkansas, taught for sixteen years at Glenwood High School, and then retired from Williamsville High School after six years. She also worked at Lincoln Land Community College as an adjunct faculty member for ten years. She was a founding member of Cornerstone Community Church in Auburn. Pamela wrote curriculum for multiple math courses and was a recipient of the 2013 Hall of Fame Service Award at Glenwood High School. She enjoyed genealogy, photography, traveling, camping, cooking, Sudoku and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Kelly. She is survived by her husband, Warren of Springfield; son, Rod (wife, Cynthia) Martin of Washington, IL; daughters, Emily J. (husband, Peter) Williamson of Springfield and Rori Krohe of Springfield; nine grandchildren; mother, Doris Kelly of Edwardsville; siblings, Alan (wife, Sheila) Kelly of Elizabeth, CO, Pat Kelly of Jacksonville, and Peggy (husband, Curt) Lambdin of Edwardsville; a few aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and the Bunco girls. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:30 6:30 on Friday, January 20, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Memorial Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Cornerstone Community Church, 231 W. Van Buren St., Auburn with Nic Cook officiating.
