Patricia A. Albanese

Patricia A. Albanese, 70 of Springfield died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born December 2, 1933 in Springfield, the daughter of Harvey B. and Catherine M. O’Neill Lloyd. She married Joseph D. Albanese on September 27, 1958 at Church of the Little Flower. Patricia was employed for 23 years at Illinois Bell Telephone Company and retired in 1996 after 18 years as a receptionist at Sacred Heart Convent. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Patricia enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents: William & Neta O’Neill and her Aunt Frances O’Neill who raised Patricia from childhood. She is survived by her husband: Joseph D. Albanese of Springfield, three sons: Anthony “Tony” (wife, Jane) Albanese of New Berlin, Nicholas (wife, Regina) Albanese of Springfield, Joseph G. (wife, Lora) Albanese of Rochester, two daughters: Anna Maria (husband, Vernon) Wise of Kincaid and Tressa D. (husband, Rick) Kiertzner of Chatsworth, CA, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers: Byron (wife, Eleanor) Lloyd and William Lloyd both of Springfield, one sister: Mary Frances (husband, James “Duke”) DeRosa of Springfield and Aunt: Eleanor O’Neill of Springfield who raised Patricia from childhood and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Concelebrated Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Eugene Costa and Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga celebrants. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Hospital Hospice Program, 800 E.
